I Live with Birds

I could not believe how many different birds I could hear this morning. It was so nice.

There were some crows too. I like the way crows look but not the way they sound. When I lived with my parents there was a big crows nest by my bedroom window. Our cat would go and sit under that tree and the crows would yell at him and swoop down until the evil noise robbed me of my natural teenage urge to sleep until 2pm.

Tomorrow morning I am sure there will be just as many birds singing, if not more. I will hear them when my brain wakes me up at 6:30am and I remind myself that it's the weekend and I can go back to sleep. (As long as the crows ef off.)

We have been having an influx of crows around here for the past few weeks. They sit in the parking lot of my apartment complex and wake me up with the noise. One time my former roommate came running in laughing and said that she looked out the window to see some kid drop a bunch of sour gummy worms. Within minutes, the crows had swooped in and started to devour them (the worms, not the kid). LOL

I would have believed a crow eating a boy. They've got that evil it in them, that's for sure.

Once a crow swooped down into my hair and tousled it with it's stick feet while I was crossing the street. Then it flew away. That was terrifying.

I'm sorry, but that made me laugh way too hard.

there's a murder of crows that hang out on the roof of the building next to my home every morning. the building is one story, about eighty feet long, with a rain gutter that runs the length. i was outside one sunday morning having a cup of coffee and heard a clicking sound from next door, the crows were running down the roof, one by one, jumping into the aluminum rain gutter and running it's length, then flying back up to the top of the roof to do it again.
i think they're great birds and enjoy them hanging around.
